Interactive Ad

An ad inside an email that readers can use without leaving it — vote, answer, reveal a code or submit a form.

An interactive ad in a newsletter is an ad section the reader can act on inside the email itself, rather than only clicking through to a website. Typical formats are polls with live results, quizzes, lead forms, one-tap newsletter sign-ups, coupon reveals, FAQ-style explainers, calculators, event slot pickers and swipeable carousels. In email this needs AMP for Email, so interactive ads work in mail apps that render AMP (Gmail, Yahoo Mail and AOL Mail) and carry a static fallback for everyone else. In MailAdx Interactive Ads the ad is chosen when the email is opened, an impression is counted when the ad is drawn, and billing is per impression: engagements and leads — votes, answers, slide depth, question opens, leads with a consent record — are reported but never charged. Buttons or form fields drawn into a static image are not interactive ads, and MailAdx's advertising policy bans them.
