Getting started with MailAdx
From empty network to first open-time ad impression.
1. Request access and sign in
Request a demo or contact our team to get your MailAdx account provisioned. Once onboarded, sign in to the MailAdx Dashboard where you will find your publisher ID and placement keys under Ad Units.
2. Create inventory and demand
- SSP: add publishers and ad units (placement keys) in the Publisher Portal.
- DSP: add advertisers, orders, line items, and creatives in the Advertiser Portal.
- Creatives go through an approval workflow before they are eligible to serve.
3. Publish your configuration
In the dashboard, go to Settings → Publish to push your latest inventory and campaign configuration to the ad server. Changes take effect within seconds — no downtime required.
4. Integrate your ESP
- Add an
EMAIL_SHA256merge field (SHA-256 hex of each subscriber's lowercase email). - Copy the ad tag from Dashboard → Ad Units for your placement.
- Paste the ad tag into your ESP template where the ad should appear.
- Send a test campaign, open the email, and confirm an impression in the Publisher Portal.

5. Verify tracking and reports
Open your test email on a real device, confirm the ad image loads and clicks redirect correctly, then check impressions and clicks in Reports. Reconcile with Billing when ready.
