Choose who can buy your slots
Turn network campaigns, retargeting and your own advertiser account on or off for your newsletter.
Updated 2026-11-02
Your slots can be filled by your own campaigns, MailAdx network campaigns, deals you agreed and, where available, third-party DSPs. You choose which of these run.
Before you start
- You need the Owner or Admin permission to change network campaigns. The Manager permission can change the other settings.
Steps
Network campaigns
- Open Inventory Details and find Demand settings.
- Tick or untick Show MailAdx network campaigns. It is on by default.
- Select Save inventory details.
Retargeting
- On the same card, tick Allow retargeting ads on this newsletter. It is off by default.
- Select Save inventory details.
Your own advertiser account
If your login also holds an advertiser account, your own campaigns are kept off your newsletter by default.
- Open Account and find Self-Serve Ad Control.
- Turn on Allow my own campaigns on my newsletter.
- Read the warning and select Yes, allow it.
What happens next
With network campaigns off:
- Your own direct-sold campaigns keep running.
- Deals you agreed keep running.
- Third-party DSPs keep their own switch on each ad unit. See Connect your own DSP.
- Slots nothing else fills show nothing, so expect your fill rate to drop.
Political ads have their own page, Political Ads, and are off until you opt in.
Network campaigns also need verified inventory. See Publish your ads.txt line.
If something goes wrong
- The network campaigns box is greyed out. Only the account owner or an admin can change it.
- Save is greyed out. You need the Owner, Admin or Manager permission.
- "No advertiser account linked". Your login holds no linked advertiser account, so there is nothing to allow.
