Fill in Inventory Details

Tell advertisers what you sell, read what was measured from your traffic and see your listing as buyers do.

Updated 2026-11-02

Inventory Details is what advertisers read about your newsletter in the Publisher Directory. Your name and website stay on Account.

Before you start

  • You need the Owner, Admin or Manager permission to save. The Analyst permission can read the page.

Steps

  1. Open Inventory Details.
  2. Under Reported by you, fill in what you know: Newsletter size, Subscriber count, Sending frequency, Average open rate (%), Email service provider, Audience type, Languages and Audience tags.
  3. Write Who reads it in a sentence or two.
  4. Enter the shares for Gender, Age and Mailboxes, and add countries under Where your readers are.
  5. Choose your topics under What your newsletter covers.
  6. Tick Readers confirm their subscription by email (double opt-in) if that is true for your list.
  7. Select Save inventory details.
  8. Check The advertiser's view at the bottom of the page.

Limits

  • Who reads it: 500 characters.
  • Audience tags: up to 10, each up to 32 characters. Tags may not describe health, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, politics, finances or minors.
  • Languages: up to 10 two-letter codes, such as en.
  • Countries: up to 30, as two-letter codes, with whole-number shares that add up to at most 100%.
  • Gender, Age and Mailboxes: whole-number shares that add up to at most 100% in each group.
  • Topics: up to 40.

What you'll see

  • Status shows your verification state, whether your ad tag is live and whether marketplace campaigns can deliver. No ad requests in the last 14 days means no tag traffic has reached MailAdx in that time.
  • Measured by MailAdx comes from your ad traffic, over the last 7, 28 and 90 days. It refreshes hourly and you can't edit it. It covers impressions, click rate, invalid traffic, rough ad request and reader counts, top countries, reading apps and devices.
  • Targetable audience comes from the subscriber details you upload.
  • Reported by you is shown to advertisers labelled as reported by you. It describes your audience, but advertisers can't target it.
  • The advertiser's view is exactly what buyers see in the Publisher Directory.

If something goes wrong

  • "Nothing measured yet." Figures appear once your ad tag has traffic. See Place the ad tag.
  • "Each country share must be a whole number from 0 to 100." Remove decimals, and use 2-letter country codes such as US, IN or GB.
  • "… shares add up to …%: at most 100%." Lower the shares in that group. You can leave the rest unassigned.
  • A tag is refused. It describes a sensitive topic. Choose another word.
