Reset or change your password

Passwords must be at least 8 characters.

If you've forgotten it

1. On the sign-in page, select Forgot password?
2. Enter your Email and select Send reset link.
3. Open the email with the subject Your sign-in link to choose a new password, and select Choose a new password.
4. Enter your New password and Confirm password, then save it.
5. Sign in with your new password.

The link lasts 1 hour and works once. If you ask for another, the earlier one stops working.

For your privacy, the page says the same thing whether or not the address has a login. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder, then check you used the address you signed up with.

A reset signs you out everywhere, in every browser and on every device.

If you're signed in and know it

1. Open Settings and find Password.
2. Enter your Current password, New password and Confirm new password.
3. Select Change password.

You see Password changed. Other sessions have been signed out. You stay signed in here, and every other browser and device is signed out.

For sponsors

Sponsors don't have the Settings page. Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page instead.

If you sign in with Google

A login made with Google has no password you know. To add one, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. Google keeps working afterwards.

What doesn't change

Your API keys keep working after a password change or reset. If you think a key has leaked, revoke it separately.

If something goes wrong

• This reset link has expired. Please request a new one. Links last 1 hour. Start again from Forgot password?
• This reset link is invalid or has already been used. Use the link in your latest email, or ask for a new one.
• Current password is incorrect. Check it, or sign out and use Forgot password?
• The new passwords do not match. Type both again.
• The new password must be at least 8 characters. Choose a longer one.
