Set a floor price
Choose the lowest CPM a slot will accept, and see which campaigns the floor applies to.
Updated 2026-11-02
A floor is the lowest price a slot will accept, as a CPM (cost per 1,000 impressions) in US dollars. See floor CPM in the glossary.
Before you start
- You need the Owner, Admin or Manager permission.
Steps
- Open Ad Units and select the pencil on the slot.
- Enter a value in Floor CPM ($). Leave it at 0 for no floor.
- Select Apply Changes.
What happens next
A campaign priced under the floor doesn't show in that slot. A higher floor can raise the price of what does show, and can also leave more of your slots empty. MailAdx doesn't guarantee fill at any price.
The floor applies differently by campaign:
- Campaigns priced by CPM must meet the floor. This includes your own direct-sold line items.
- Your Flat Rate line items and Roadblocks skip the floor.
- Deals use the price or floor agreed in the deal, not the slot's floor.
- Third-party DSPs use RTB floor CPM ($). If that is blank, they use the slot's Floor CPM. See Connect your own DSP.
If something goes wrong
- Your own campaign doesn't show. If it is priced by CPM, check that its CPM ($) is at or above the floor, or switch its Pricing Model to Flat Rate.
- Fill dropped after you raised a floor. Lower it, then compare over a few sends in Tag Health.
