Fund a client's wallet

Agencies hold no balance. Add credits straight to a client's wallet without signing in as them.

Updated 2026-11-02

An agency holds no balance of its own. Each client has its own wallet, and campaign spend is charged to that client directly, which keeps each client's spend separate. You fund a client from your client list.

Some accounts are billed by their ad network instead of a prepaid wallet. If Wallet is not in your menu, ask your ad network how to fund campaigns.

Before you start

  • Your agency account must be approved.
  • You need the Owner, Admin or Finance role on the agency account.
  • The client must be attached to your agency.

Steps

  1. Open Advertisers. The Wallet page sends you to the same place, through Go to Clients.
  2. Find the client and select the wallet icon on its row.
  3. Check that the dialog says Funding and your client's name.
  4. Choose an amount and select Continue.
  5. Check your agency's billing details and continue.
  6. On Review & pay, check that Credited to names the right client.
  7. Select Pay and finish the payment.

Top-ups have the same amounts and tax as any other wallet.

What happens next

The credit goes to your client's wallet. The invoice is addressed to your agency, because you paid.

You can't move credit back or to another client yourself. Check the client's name before you pay. If you funded the wrong client, write to support@mailadx.com.

If something goes wrong

  • "Agencies do not hold a balance". You tried to top up the agency itself. Fund a client from Advertisers instead.
  • "You don't manage this advertiser". The client is not attached to your agency. Ask support@mailadx.com to attach it.
  • You want to see a client's balance. Your client list doesn't show it. You'll get a Wallet balance low or Wallet empty alert with the client's name when it needs attention.
